The 25th of April 2009 will go down as one of the darkest days in the clubs history. In the year that the club celebrates 75 years the CSAC was compelled to move out of its home for the last 63 years due to security reasons. This home was is none other than Clappenberg, China bay.
Anyone who had been to the club would say that the very soul of the club was its location and not something easily replaced or duplicated. The CSAC at Clappenberg bay introduced the great outdoors to many new generations and instilled on its members the need to protect and enjoy the beauty of nature.
At present the hunt is on for a new suitable home for the CSAC to carry on its activities….
